my daughter and I early in 2020; I aspire to listening to my gut, but here she’s doing it for me:)
“The fullness of life is incubated in its messy places.”

Happy Full Moon, Yoga Mamas! I meant to post this earlier today, but today was, well….full! The irony is that sometimes motherhood is full of so many little details, dozens of things that don’t always seem related, or that seem trivial, that it's easy to get to the end of the day and think, “I feel like I did so much, but what did I really do?”
Sometimes motherhood is too much; too much to do, too many worries, too many people needing me, too many items on the to-do list, too many aspirations. There’s one thing there’s not too much of and that’s time, unless we’re talking about the time spent thinking of our families and doing things for them. Then there’s sometimes too much of that for us to get around to a satisfying yoga session!
But motherhood is also so much. What do I mean by that? It’s so much love, so much inspiration, so much struggle, so much honor, so much frustration, so much fun…go ahead, fill in the blanks on issues that speak to you.
And now that we’re talking about fullness, I just wanted to piggyback off last Friday’s post on Deerga Swasam, also known as Three-Part Breath, or Complete Breath. In essence, it’s a truly full breath that comes in three parts, expanding the inhalation in the abdomen, ribs, and chest. See the post linked above for details.
In the post, I give details and guidance on this simple practice. I know it’s so cliche to say, when you’re stressed, just stop and take a few deep breaths. But what does it mean to take a deep breath, and how exactly do we breathe deeply?
In light of the Full Moon (literally and figuratively), here’s a little video guidance on just that!
Life with little ones is truest full- full of e ruth IG and nothing, full of every feeling in the world, and full of so much love!
