I used to teach yoga at the gym and classes were often more crowded in January than other times of the year - I assumed enough people made a new year’s resolution to go to the gym. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather take on a new habit or project in the spring when the weather’s warmer and my energy and resolve are stronger.
Yogamama is for all moms who want balance in their lives. It’s for moms who used to do yoga and find that since becoming a mom, their practice has changed or disappeared. It’s also for moms who have always wanted to do yoga but never got around to it and now realize they need something to help them destress and find time for themselves. It’s even for moms who think yoga is a little bit weird or too difficult, or maybe too time consuming to incorporate into momlife.
I hope you can find some inspiration here and discover that sometimes we need yoga most when we think we don’t have time for it. We can do yoga in a studio on a mat for a set amount of time each day or week, and/or you can join me on this creative experiment with yoga to see how we can practice it, both spontaneously and planned throughout our days, sometimes for as short as a minute and still benefit. Here’s to Spring and new beginnings!
