Hi Yoga Mamas! I’ve been working on today’s post and it’s almost there, but it’s honestly been one of those exhausting weeks where I’ve had to take care of everyone despite needing some extra care myself.
I’m burnt.
But I’m also committed to bringing you a post every Friday, so here’s at least a peek into our next seasonal theme of Falling. Not just because it’s the Fall season, but also because sometimes yoga gets too stiff when we try to strike perfect poses every time (whatever a perfect pose is).
Luckily I found this old video from a year ago demonstrating a very simple way to sort of fall forward into uttansasna and prasarita padottanasana. It’s simple, but so satisfying. Tomorrow I’ll post more details and modifications on this mini sequence and how it can help us embody the energy of Autumn and falling leaves:)
Happy practicing! And if you’ve got that Friday burnout like me, I hope you also find a moment of rest. Sometimes that’s the best yoga.
“I lied and said I was busy.
I was busy;
but not in a way most people understand.
I was busy taking deeper breaths.
I was busy silencing irrational thoughts.
I was busy calming a racing heart.
I was busy telling myself I am okay.
Sometimes, this is my busy -
and I will not apologize for it.”
