Prasarita is one of my all-time favorite forward bends and inversions. Like downward dog, it is so adaptable: hands can go on the ground, your legs, on blocks or even on stacks of books when blocks aren’t available! If you’re having trouble engaging your legs to provide a steady base, you can always bend your knees a little bit. Don’t worry, the yoga police won’t get you for that…I hope.
Remember, sometimes before you come into a pose, there are other more simple poses that help prepare you for it. Yoga journal has a great article with an example of how to do this.
